Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and singer. An attractive, clever and skilled actor, she's an inspiration to Asian actors aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. Her fame was boosted by a number of popular early role in the series. In The Ally McBeal series, where she played Ling Woo the villainous character. After her success, she landed significant parts on the shows Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). She then delivered a superb performance as Japanese criminal lord O'RenIshii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. Also, she portrayed leading parts in box office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated films like Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and others she voiced prominent characters. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a minor role that failed to have any impact. The role she played in the critically-acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an actress of note. Liu selects her roles with care so as to avoid being cast in an industry that is competitive. Though she's very proud of her ethnicity, she does not let it limit her imagination.
