Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a writer, philanthropist, television personality and owner of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was Greece she relocated to England at the age of 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The famous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it before the age of 21. Then she became a conservative syndicated writer after graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a year following, she launched an online platform to voice opinions with a critique of current political scenarios. Arianna was able to attract many prominent contributors to share their opinions on culture and politics. Arianna gained notoriety after she was elected as an independent in the California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. In addition, she directed a Detroit initiative to encourage the use of fuel-efficient cars. Forbes named her as 12th on their list of the Top influential women in the media. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named the president of this group. This included many AOL products at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli is the daughter of Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli the other, both of whom are journalists and consultants in management. While she was close with father, her relationship to her mom was the defining factor in the remainder of her life. In her earliest years, she exhibited leadership skills for which her name is still well-known. At the age of 16, she moved from America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college and was the third and first female to be elected president. In 1972, her Master's in Economics was conferred. In the years following after graduation she became a journalist and TV host. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write her own books with his aid.
